Kandy Day Tour Designed for Moments That Take Your Breath Away
In Kandy, feel the true spirit of Sri Lanka with its mix of history, nature, and warm welcome, where green hills and cool air greet you like an old friend. Kandy’s Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic shows deep peace with its beautiful gold and sacred Sri Lankan art. Our guides tell stories that make each place special and help you have memories you will never forget. Right next to the temple is the Royal Palace. It has old paintings and marks that make you feel like you have traveled back in time. After that, walk slowly around the calm Kandy Lake. Here, you can enjoy the quiet, watch birds flying over the water, and see leaves moving in the wind. It is a perfect place to relax and think about your memories. As a nature lover, you'll be amazed by the incredible diversity of colourful flowers, tall palm trees, and rare exotic plants at The Royal Botanical Gardens in Peradeniya. You will walk along broad paths, snapping pictures and inhaling fresh air, and soaking in the green paradise, hopefully re-energizing and depositing a happiness quota for a whole day. Do you want to see the whole city of Kandy from above? We can take you to see the big white Bahira Wakanda Buddha statue sitting high on a tall hill. From there, you will see the whole city of Kandy. It's a nice spot to reflect and think your quiet thoughts or glorious selfies. And there will be knowledge in addition to feeling and seeing. In the evening, you will watch a Kandyan dance show with bright colors, fast drumbeats, and lively dancing that feels like a happy celebration of Sri Lankan culture. If you are an active adrenaline sports person, then the Kandy Day tour guide will, of course, take you to the Udawattakele Forest Reserve, which is a quiet and peaceful forest right outside of the town. This will be something so simple with some neat tracks, birds fluttering around, and monkeys swinging through the trees. This is a really lovely trip into nature, right in the heart of a city.
The top highlight of our Kandy trip is the well-known train ride to Ella, which has amazing views. You’ll see tea farms, waterfalls, and endless green hills - every view seems like a postcard. We are very pleased to have gotten you the best seats, and the Kandy Day Tour team does not doubt that you will enjoy the train ride. Once we reach Kandy, the Kandy Day Tour team will take you to some local markets that are very colourful and lively. You will be allowed to shop for spices, locally made crafts, and souvenirs. In every market, you will be able to taste and try the food, and hopefully you will find something special to take home. If you visit in July or August, the Kandy Day Tour team will help you experience the incredible Esala Perahera festival, the largest and most amazing festival in Asia. You will see elephants dressed up and running around in colorful clothes, dancers, drummers, and fire acts. You will enjoy being part of this festival at night! Of course, we won't send you home without plenty of tasty food. We will take you to delicious, fresh, Sri Lankan food at local places where all the food is homemade (with love), such as hot rice and curry or sweet treats like watalappan. And when it comes time to sleep, we will help you find a great place to stay ( a big fancy colonial hotel on a hill, or a local guesthouse in town, or maybe a hammock!). We want you to be safe, and we want you to be happy, so we will plan your Kandy Trip to be easy, fun, and full of great memories. So, book your Kandy Day Tour ticket now.
